Sandy leads TAPPP’s efforts to connect the platform to a wide range of relevant sports businesses, including major media broadcasters and leading sportsbooks. Under his leadership, TAPPP worked with Major League Baseball and the National Football League to make their streaming products available at America’s largest retail and online channels. In 2019, TAPPP received approval to sell prepaid products for sportsbook at retail. This allows purchasers to top up their accounts with authorized sportsbooks using cash. TAPPP is backed by leading technology investors.
Sandy lives in New York and maintains that it is his love for the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers that gave him the idea of making sports more accessible for fans.
Ashmit Bhattacharya held technical management positions at General Electric, eBenefits and Safeway.com. After joining Blackhawk Network as vice president of research and development, he led the technical team at Blackhawk Network, defining and designing a high redundancy payment clearing and settlement system based on POS terminals, Web and Mobile prepaid during the start-up period for the company. As a co-founder, Ashmit Bhattacharya has successfully sold the prepaid card exchange company Plastics Jungle to InComm.
Bob has been driving both physical and digital sales through retail and online channels for more than 20 years. He was directly responsible for building the global gift card business from the ground up at one of the biggest publicly traded video game companies in the world.
