Mr. Burkhardt has more than 30 years of experience in managing across borders, developing new sources of revenue, and managing and extending consumer-focused brands. He spent 5 years as the president of Iconix International, overseeing a staff of 100 across 18 offices on 6 continents. Prior to that, he spent five years with ESPN, where he was responsible for all of ESPN’s business, programming and licensing activities outside the United States and oversaw ESPN’s brand extensions and new business development in the United States. Mr. Burkhardt was previously in charge of international business development for Turner Entertainment, EVP of television and digital media at InterMedia Outdoors, president of Sportsman Channel, and president of Blue Man Group. Mr. Burkhardt began his career at McKinsey & Company, Inc., where over a ten-year period he held several positions within the firm both domestically and overseas, focusing on strategy, marketing, and new product development engagements.
Mr. Burkhardt earned his MBA, with high distinction Baker Scholar, at Harvard University and his bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with honors and high distinction, at Stanford University.
