TAPPP and Waiken ILW announced the launch of Sports Experience, an innovative live sports data panel natively integrated into the DGO platforms (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Uruguay) and SKY+ (Brazil).
Developed by TAPPP, this groundbreaking technology for South America allows users to access the most relevant game data directly from their remote control without interrupting the broadcast of a sporting event or any live-content channel.
The information panel provides real-time scores, detailed statistics (possession, shots, passes), lineups, play-by-play updates, and the complete tournament bracket for the 48 participating national teams.
This launch marks a new milestone in the strategic partnership that began in 2024 between TAPPP and Waiken ILW, the technomedia company operating in 11 countries across the region. Following a successful year of validation in DGO Argentina and Colombia, where interactivity was shown to deepen user engagement, the infrastructure is now expanding to additional countries and is available on Smart TVs and Android TV devices.
TAPPP’s MicroApp technology not only transforms the subscriber experience by increasing engagement and retention within the platform itself, but is also designed as a permanent feature. After the World Cup, the panel will be expanded to cover major soccer leagues and other local and international sports.
For advertisers, Sports Experience opens up a key advertising category for live sports, offering inventory based on users’ actual and self-declared engagement, which is already translating into direct transactions through initiatives such as the presentation of sports collectibles.
